Social Studies Final Exam

Before the exam, I felt alright pretty confident because I knew the question.
During the exam, I felt prepared and I showed respect because I was on task and quiet.
After the exam, I felt happy it was over and I think i might get a good mark
My time in social studies has been fun because the topics were interesting
 The highlight for SOS has been fun
The most interesting thing I learned in SOS was Tokelau,Government and Globalisation

Chocolate Cake 

Step 1 - 2 c of SRF

Step 2 - 1 c of sugar

Step 3 - 1/2 c of oil

Step 4 - 1 c of milk

Step 5 - 1 egg

Step 6  - 1/4 cocoa

Step 7 - combine all and mix well, scoop into the tray

Step 8 - Bake 180° c for 15 min

Pie

Today, we made mince pie for food tech. It came out good but the problem is that the pastry on the top was a bit small but its still nice.

Step 1- dice the onion and fry until it's soft
 Step 2 - add the mince and fry until it's cooked
Step 3- add mix veges and 1/2 c of water it already mix with peper,veges stock and spices

Chocolate Muffin

Today we made chocolate muffin here in food tech and if came out yummy and crunchy.

1. 2 cups of Sun rise flour
2. 1 c of sugar
3. 1/2 c of oil
4. 1 c of milk
5. 1 egg
6. 1/4 c of cocoa
7.combine all and mix well, scoop into the muffin tray
8. Bake 180oc for 15 mins

French Toast

The first cooking session we made french toast and I didn't get to post it. I reckon our french toast came out good because it was golden brown just like it was supposed to be and it tasted good.

Recipe

Step 1- whisk 4 egg with ½ c of milk

Step 2 - slice the bread into 2 pieces.Each group must have 8 pieces of bread.

Step 3 - Dip bread into milk and eggs, line it on the white chopping board

Step 4 - start frying the bread, until it is golden brown turn it over.Turn it over put it on the plate and serve the golden syrup.

Today we made chocolate muffins and it tasted nice but it was dry.

Here were the steps
Step 1: 2 cups of SR Flour
-1/2 c of sugar,1/4 cocoa
-1 egg,1/2 c of milk
-1/2 of oil

Step 2:combine all ingredients
- scoop into muffin tray
-bake 180oc 15 mins

Blueberry Muffin

Today we made blueberry muffins at food tech and it came out nice like we wanted.It was the perfect golden brown with blueberries inside.

Steps

Step 1-1 1/2 c of Sun rise flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 c of oil
1/2 c of milk and 1 egg
1/2 c of blueberry
Step 2 Mix well and scoop into muffin tin
Step 3- bake 189oc for 15 minutes
Step 4- cool down and top up with whip cream

My First Hangi Experience

On Tuesday morning my class and I went to the Wharekai to make a hangi. I was getting exited. We started with cleaning the kumara, potato's and carrots and the other group were cutting the veges and placing it on the tin foil plate.They were also placing meat inside to and when we were done we went to the hangi pit and placed all the tin foil plate in the metal cage.Then we put the hangi inside the pit and added wet blankets over it so it can keep the hot steam inside and let it cook and not over cook. Quickly, we packed up for morning tea. 2 energy forms I saw that day was heat because I felt it and it was used to cook the hangi and burn the pallets. Another one is kenetic because I saw the fire flickering. I enjoyed my first hangi experience.

Today in Food tech we made hot cakes and it came out nice
Here are the steps

Step 1: 1 cup of S.R flour
Step 2: 1/2 c of sugar
Step 3: 1 egg,1/2 c of milk
Step 4: Mix well and fry 2 cakes at the time cuse the serving  spoon

My First Exam Experience

My First Exam Experience

This week has been nervous for me because it’s exam week.

How did I feel?
I felt nerves and while I getting in the middle of the test I felt confident.

What tips did I use?

I used no tips, the work we did was stuck in my head because what we were learning about was interesting.

How did I feel when I finished?

I felt happy about what I’ve done.

What did I do when I went home?

I got home and told my mum about my exam and I felt proud of myself, than I when and watch youtube.

What did I show during the exam?

I showed respect because I didn’t bother anyone and I stayed because so I could get a good report even in class I tried my best to behave and listen.

What did I do before the exam?

I stayed focused and I prayed before coming to school for the exams.

In my next exam, I would try to do better and study before getting tested.

Rocket's

Today we shot our rockets that we made yesterday at Graphics.How it works was it

was on the ground which is chemical potential and it was too hot so it blew out and when it's

in the air, it’s called gravitational potential and it's too light it comes down and its called

movement/kinetic energy.

WALT:write an interesting and informative story about experiencing a fake Auckland eruption

I was cooking some food and all of a sudden I heard a loud bang outside near mission bay and saw smoke in the air.Then I saw smoke coming out of the water and it started to bubble up and it finally exploded with a loud bang! and saw black smoke and white ash.It wen bigger and bigger and the Pyroclastic surge started coming towards my house.

At the time I was scared but I also knew from going to year nine science what caused the new Auckland volcano. And that is when it comes out of the hotspot and the thermal plumes melts the crust and it starts to rumble and blow up. 1 hour later everything is covered in ash and the lava was coming out of the volcano slowly.

Made In Taiwan

2 men born in New Zealand went on a interesting journey to Cook Island,Samoa and Vanuatu to find out where their ancestors came from. After they finished with New Zealand,they went to Cook island and saw the special stature and Nathan also helped out by cleaning the weeds and actually that shows that its special to Nathan.They are finished with Cook Island and now they are at samoa and  they went to samoa to visit oscars mother and grandmother to ask questions about where samoa came from.After that they went to Vanuatu and they discovered that the 1st people at Vanuatu were the lapita people.They also ate rat .Then finally the last country they visited was Taiwan and they visited a history museum and saw different kinds of things that was in Taiwan. They also greet people with a hongi like what we do in New Zealand.

Earthquake in Papa New Guinea

WALT:  Describe a recent earthquake, its cause and effects

2 days ago there was a serious earthquake in Papa New Guinea and the earthquake was 7.5 and that's really big. The earthquake was caused by the tectonic plates movement and some countries are sending are sending rescue team to support the natural disaster that happened  recently. Also at least 14 died from the landslides.We did a activity we spread nutella as crust on bread and jam as mantel and the bread was cut in half as how the tectonic's plates move.

Experiment In class

Today Mrs Wells showed us a experiment in a big bucket, I saw the red colour rise to the top
and then she added the green colour and it was merging into the red side and it looked like
after a volcanic eruptions. The red was rising because mrs Wells put hot water under the bucket
and that caused the red colour to rise and spread.The green was trying to come
to the red side because Mrs Wells put the green colour at cold side and so the red side left some space
while it was rising so that’s how the green started to rise and spread the same way as the red.

WALT: Describe the layers of earth

The layer in the very top is named the Crust and the Crust is made with land and water.Crust is 8 km thick under water and 32 km thick under the continents crust.
Below the Crust is Mantel and that would be the thickest layer of 2,900 km . This layer is also hard and  its like hot rocks.
Below that layer is Outer Core,its 2,300 km thick and is full of solid nickel and iron. 
The last layer is Inner Core and its 1,250 km thick and its the hottest layer and its like the sun.
