Omana Beach
On Saturday morning my family and cousins gathered at the beach and started talking and the kids started playing. Soon we wanted to swim so we got our togs on and ran down to the beach and swam. The most things we saw were bikes, there were a lot of bikes riding by.

Science Intensive
Today Room 8 went to room 3 to have Science. Our Scientist was Miss Stone. The First Experiment we did was, we mixed powder and water and as we were mixing it felt like it was solid. Soon we made a rocket and made it blast off. We were about to make some Chocolate but we didn't have enough time.
I hope all of us enjoyed learning with Miss Stone and we all learnt something new.

Science Intensive
Today, My class at school went to Room 9 for Science. The first experiment we did was the laser reflection, so we got a laser and shined it on a mirror so it could bounce from mirror to mirror. The Next experiment we did was we stood next to the door and we got a magnifier glass and shined it on the paper and we could see the reflection. The last experiment was the disco ball, so we got a torch and shined it on the necklace and it looked like a disco ball.

Summary on War In Waihi
By Mark Derby
There was once a hill but 12 thousand men came and dug it for gold. So what turns a hill into a hole? The answer is GOLD, the rock has been dug from the Martha Mine for it fleacks for more than a hundred years.
Trouble has been viral in town for years.Waihi miners were paid less than other countries. They were even forced to work fast and it was sometimes dangerous. Some miners got a deadly lung disease known as Miner Cough.
Then 7 years came by and hundreds of families had to survive without weekly pay packet. They had veggies, chicken, and divided money. Some people went fishing and divided up the catch with the neighbors. There were men and they were police and they were taking photos of themselves.
There was a man called Bill Parry and he was the president of Wahi Miners Union. There were three policemen and they were taking photos of them being soldiers. There was a group of people walking in a group.

Summary on King Street Bridge
By Hinemoana Baker
This article is about a girl named Hera was out of sandwiches and watched the last waterlog piece float under the footbridge. The next day she saw a tuna in the brown water. After school the next day Hera decided to go home through Kings street Bridge. She was sick of Lyza and Rebecca and sick of running away. She was always trying to find new ways to walk home also she ran to of short cuts and long cuts. Hera was walking on the footpath and some bullies shouted across the quad “Hey, Wannabe. “Were gonna get you”. Then Lyza dragged her against the toilets and sprayed her with water from the tap, then Lyza and Rebecca started laughing .Then the next day, her heart was pounding so hard she couldn't she couldn’t hear he friend. They were outside the gym and the Kapa Haka group just finished practice. She fainted because the tuna was swimming in brown water. Then she ate it, then she fainted. After that the bullies helped her because they were scared. Turned out Hera and the Bullies became friends.
And thats the end of my Summary on “King Street Bridge” and I hope you enjoyed it.

Just In Time For The NRL Game
It was a nice sunny day with a big yellow sun, and we were getting excited because we were going to the NRL game held at Mt Smart Stadium. We went to the NRL game because it was my brothers birthday and he wanted to watch and support the Warriors.
It was Melbourne Storms vs The Vodafone Warriors, it starts at 12.00 but we wanted to leave around 11.00-11.30 so we could find a parking fast. The league player that I’m looking forward too from the Storms is Marika Koroibete and from the Warriors is Shaun Johnson. But my brother said “Tuivasa Sheck is way better than both of them” then I said “Why can’t you stop being Jealous” and then he said “If Tuivasa Sheck scores a try you own me $5” then I said “challenge Accepted”.
So we went to Countdown to get some food such as Chips,Drinks and Lollies. Then we went to the bakery to get some hot chips and a pie because we haven’t had breakfast. After a while my brother was running around and all of a sudden my brother tripped over his shoe lace and we needed to go to the doctors. By the time we arrived at the doctors it was 11.00. When my brother came back it was 11.20 so we all rushed into the van and headed off to Mt Smart Stadium.
Later on, we made it to Mt Smart Stadium the time was 11.58 so we all quickly got our tickets out and went to the entry. Then we had to look for our seats because we only had 1 minute.
Then Finally, By the time we sat down Shaun Johnson was about to kick the ball to start the game. When we arrived we all said “JUST IN TIME”. We saw a lot of Warriors supporters because it was held in New Zealand.

Accidental Plastics
By: Kate Potter
From your toothbrush to your television, Plastic products are used nearly everywhere. “Plastic” means it’s easy to bend or mould into different shapes. It’s difficult to imagine life without these non-natural materials compounds.
In 1863, a company selling billiard balls offered $10,000 to any person who could come up with the best material to use and make Billiard balls. At that time the billiard balls were made from elephant tusk ivory.
There is a layer of plastic between 2 layers of glass means that, even if the windscreen cracks, all of the pieces of the glass will stay together. All of these world - changing plastics were discovered by accident.
When scientist do an experiment and when it goes wrong the scientist doesn't say that it went wrong, instead scientists are always on the lookout for new connections.

Trip to Arataki
On the 11th of May, Glenbrae School Seniors went to Arataki Forest. It was exiting because it was going to be our first time going to the Arataki Forest. It was a 1 hour ride and people we feeling tired when we arrived. When we arrived we went in the Forest and it was interesting because we stopped in different trees. When we entered we needed to spray our shoes because there are diseases that can kill the plants and the trees. While we were walking we stopped by the beautiful view of the forest. We saw a lot of the Nikau Palm and I saw a Northern Rata. Then, we went down the stairs and saw an Enormous Kauri Tree. Then we went inside the visitor room and watched a video about Arataki Forest and the volume was a bit too loud for my ears but at the same time I still enjoyed watching the video.
Then Finally, we packed all our bags and headed back to School and it fun and exciting. The reason I enjoyed the trip was because I learnt a lot about the Native Bush and also the long ride.
