My Favourite Person

  

My favourite person is my Grandpa. His name is Ifoni Lahi but I call him Ba because it is the Tongan term for Grandpa.He is 86 years old and from an island called Vava'u in the Tongan Group of islands.

Ba has blue eyes that is taken from his palangi grandma and has light brown skin. His favourite activity is doing his garden and in his garden he has water melons, apples,tomatoes,lemons and kumara. He likes to keep the house neat and tidy and watch kung-Fu movies such as the Japanese movies but some of them are fake but he still enjoys them.He enjoys the company of the whole family and bonding with them.

My Grandad is my favourite person in my life.

Learning from the Christchurch Earthquakes

My Summary

There were 2 main earthquakes, the first one was on September 2010, registred 7.1 on the Richter Scale but none died  , and also caused a lot of damage and heaps of building. There Liquefaction was damaged and it caused a lot of damage and the water pipes broke.

The Second earthquake was on September 22nd 2011, Christchurch was rocked again and registred 6.3 earthquake. One hundred and eighty-five people died and that’s a lot of people and most of them died because the buildings collapsing.

Today at technoligy  we went on this site and played this game called Scratch Animation and you can make your own Animation. It's like your making your own cartoon show and i enjoyed playing Scratch.

Trip to Stardome

Today Rooms 7,8,9 and 10 went to Stardom, there were 2 buses waiting for us. When we got to Stardom we had morning tea. Then we played on the park and the most people were playing on the Flying Fox,Octopus and Bull Rush. After That, we went to the Space Room and learn about space. Then, we went in side the universe.

At Stardom I learnt that stars can make pictures. I enjoyed it because it was fun playing on the park and I learnt a lot of things about the future,planet and space.
